The carving of CRAZY HORSE (when finished) will be the largest carving in the world. Korczak Ziółkowski ( Polish-American sculptor) began this life work in 1947 carving the monument. He had 10 children and almost all of them work on completing this project. It is financed through private funds with no government assistance; althought the US Government has offered.
